The 210-kilometer expressway, developed under the Bharatmala Pariyojana, is set to reduce the travel time between Delhi and Dehradun to only 2.5 hours. Currently, the journey takes approximately 6-7 hours, often plagued by traffic congestion and road bottlenecks.

- Asia’s Longest Elevated Wildlife Corridor: A 12-kilometer stretch ensures safe movement for wildlife while maintaining smooth vehicular traffic.
- Daat Kali Tunnel: The expressway features this unique tunnel to provide seamless travel through hilly terrain.
- Six-Lane High-Speed Corridor: Designed for speeds of up to 100 km/h, with provisions to expand to eight lanes.
The project, divided into four phases, is in its final stages of construction, with the eco-sensitive stretch through the Rajaji Tiger Reserve receiving special attention for timely completion.
