As the anniversary of Lord Ram’s Pran Pratishtha nears, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has announced that the first anniversary celebrations will be held on January 11, 2025, instead of January 22. Ayodhya is all set to be adorned like a bride, with grand events planned to mark one year of the consecration ceremony.
Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, shared that the anniversary will follow the Indian lunar calendar, with celebrations falling on Paush Shukla Dwadashi, termed as ‘Pratishtha Dwadashi.’
Why January 11, 2025?
The Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Ram’s idol was performed on Paush Shukla Dwadashi (January 22, 2024). In 2025, the same date in the Indian lunar calendar corresponds to January 11. This significant day will be marked by religious rituals, cultural events, and grand celebrations across Ayodhya.
Here’s everything you need to know about the schedule and events.
Highlights of the Celebration Schedule
The event will feature multiple rituals and cultural programs across four key locations:
1. Yajna Mandap (Temple Premises)
- A fire ritual (havan) will be conducted, offering 1,975 mantras from the Shukla Yajurveda.
- 11 Vedic priests will chant the mantras during two sessions: 8 AM to 11 AM and 2 PM to 5 PM.
- Devotees can participate in 6 lakh chants of the Ram Mantra and hear recitations of sacred texts like Hanuman Chalisa, Ram Raksha Stotra, and Aditya Hridaya Stotra.
2. Ground Floor of the Temple
- Raag Seva (musical offering) will be performed daily from 3 PM to 5 PM in the southern prayer hall.
- Devotional songs will be sung in the temple colonnade, with performances scheduled from 6 PM to 9 PM.
3. First Floor of the Yatri Suvidha Kendra
A three-day musical recital of Ramcharitmanas will take place here, allowing devotees to immerse themselves in the divine essence of the Ramayana.
4. Angad Teela Grounds
- Ram Katha will be narrated daily from 2 PM to 3:30 PM, followed by spiritual discourses on Ramayana from 3:30 PM to 5 PM.
